Dumbbell Workout Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This policy covers the Dumbbell Workout app for Android (package au.com.amaysoft.freedumbbellworkout), published by Amaysoft Pty Ltd (“Amaysoft”, “we”, “us”). In short: the app does not collect, transmit or share any of your data. Everything stays on your device.

Data we collect

None. The app has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no crash reporting. It does not request internet access, so it cannot send data to us or to anyone else.

Data stored on your device

To work, the app saves the following in its private storage on your device:

  • The weights and reps you log for each exercise, with the date.
  • Your in-progress workout and any running rest timer, so you can pick up where you left off.
  • A custom workout plan, if you import one.

This data never leaves your device through the app. You can delete it at any time with “Clear All Data” in the app’s menu, or by uninstalling the app.

Files you import

If you choose to import a workout plan or a weights CSV, the app reads only the file you pick in Android’s file picker, and only to load it into the app. It does not access any other files.

Device backup

If you have turned on Android backup, Android may include the app’s data in your device backup to your Google account, and restore it when you set up a new device. This is handled by Google under your backup settings and Google’s privacy policy. Amaysoft has no access to these backups.

Permissions

  • Notifications: to show the rest timer while the app is in the background, and to alert you when rest ends.
  • Foreground service: keeps the rest timer running accurately while you use other apps.
  • Wake lock and vibration: so the end-of-rest alert is on time with the screen off, and can vibrate.

Sharing

We do not share, sell or disclose any data, because we do not have any.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s handling of data changes, we will update this page and the date above before the change is released.
